Horror Manga of the Week #6: Fetish

Title: Fetish 

Author: Fujiwara Kaoru

This is a collection of 5 dark and twisted tales. Take note, all of these stories are completely unrelated plotwise although they all have similar psychological and narrative themes. They are not the usual “shockers” you expect in a horror manga but they give off an eerie and heavy atmosphere that creeps to the minds of the readers. I am very fond of the characters—they’re so realistic, mysterious and interesting. The art is also absolutely gorgeous and kinda manhwa-ish. The 3rd story (Sully Lily) is probably my favorite cause not only do I find it disturbing and sick, but also very sad, bittersweet and amazing. Highly recommended to the fans of psychological horrors like Goth and Nijigahara Holograph :D 

Just a little warning: Some of these stories are also confusing, surreal and each ending may give you an incomplete feeling. So if you’re the type of reader who wants conclusions and answers to your questions, you won’t find it in this type of manga.
