Merry Christmas, horror manga fans!

It’s already Christmas Eve so I thought of sharing these two Christmas-themed short stories from Junji Ito and Kago Shintaro.

Also, three things:

  • If you already read them, read them again for the sake of Christmas.
  • To new readers, enjoy!
  • If you’re not a horror/guro manga fan and you just happen to stumble upon this post, save your sanity and don’t click the download links (lol, that will make you more curious, yes? Don’t blame meh, I already warned ya)

Warning: This manga contains loads of disturbing themes that will make you appreciate being alone this season.

Synopsis:

Michio hasn’t left his bedroom since junior high, and he should be in college by now. All his old classmates are turning twenty this year, and in Japan, that means you can vote, drink, and drive (not necessarily in that order). It also means that all across the nation, ceremonies are being held to celebrate these twenty year-olds “coming of age”.

One day, Michio gets a call out of the blue from a girl he crushed on back in school. She’s inviting him to the ceremony, and to a class reunion afterwards.

Will he go? Will he stay in his room? Wait, why is this a Junji Ito story?

Oh, that might be the part where the story takes place against a backdrop of vicious serial murders where victims are left naked and literally stitched together with fishing line.

Everybody join hands now, everybody join hearts now!

Warning: Contains adult themes ofc it’s kago shintaro duh

Synopsis:

Santa is terrorizing Japan by flooding everyone with unwanted gifts. The only way to stop Santa from sending more is to convince him that you’re happy with what you got, or so they believe.

The story is split between a girl trying to find a way to get Santa to stop sending her vibrators, and the various government schemes to try and capture or eliminate Santa.”

11/13/11 - Horror Manga Wishlist

A list of manga series I wanted to read/buy/download but I can’t find them no matter how hard I look, hunt or steal

Ju-On 2 by Takashi Shimizu/Meimu (HIGHEST PRIORITY)

Yuukoku no Rasputin by Junji Ito (not sure if this is horror since it’s only tagged as Seinen + Historical but I’ve always wanted to see this mangaka trying out other genre)

Octopus Girl by Yamazaki Toru (I’ve always been a fan of the classic horror more than the new ones… so I’m really curious of this manga. It looks like Umezu’s style too based on the caps I saw… but that makes it all better 8D)

The Ring 0: Birthday by Koji Suzuki/Meimu (Out of all the Ringu movies, I have to admit Birthday is my favorite and the one that creeped me out the most. So I wanted to see the manga version of this one.)

Kuchisake Onna Densetsu by Inuki Kanako (This mangaka is labelled as “The Queen of Horror” so I’m curious of her works. Sadly, I didn’t enjoy the ONLY manga by her that is available online: School Zone. So I wanted to try this one and see if she has better works than that. ALSO KUCHISAKE ONNA FTW)
